Readiness is not a binder you assemble the week before an inspection. It is a state you hold continuously: consent captured correctly, policies current and acknowledged, incidents logged, and evidence retrievable in minutes. As the UK moves toward licensing for non-surgical cosmetic procedures, the clinics that treat compliance as an everyday system, not an annual scramble, will be the ones that pass calmly.
Consent and cooling-off
Every treatment needs documented informed consent, the information delivered, capacity assessed, and where relevant a cooling-off window respected. The common failure is not the consent form itself but proving the process around it. Keep the whole chain attached to the patient record.
